Rather than having a unified theory about what synchronistic events are at their root, I see them as a patchwork quilt of shiver-inducing events that connect our inner and outer worlds:
Some are ” signs from the Universe”, meaning an impersonal Intelligence we don’t need to pinpoint too closely.
Or they can be signs from deceased loved ones, from Spirit Guides, or moments of personal coherence with Self and Life that mirror that felt experience of being “in the flow”.
Other times they’re flashes of precognition or spontaneous psychic perception. This category can also include spontaneous psychokinesis (PK), where our feelings and thoughts induce mirroring events out in the world.
I’ve seen some be a kind of “test of resolve” in our meaningful decisions.
Sometimes the event is a clear directive “do this/go there/talk to that person, etc”.
Other times it’s a mirror of symbolic or archetypal energies to pay attention to or tend in our lives; more so than a single, immediate action to take. We see this often with animal encounters — where we can draw on the symbolism of legend and folklore around the animal spirit, for instance.
Other times it sets into motion a beautiful/fun/fascinating story which hints at the flow of an intelligent Cosmic Tale intent on being interesting, arresting, paid-attention-to, causing awe —something to take in and be transformed by, rather than something to do.
