We are in the portal of another long-anticipated sky event: the Jupiter/Uranus conjuction at 21 degrees of the sign Taurus.
(I feel particularly lucky as this conjuction is happening on the degree of my natal moon!).
This meeting of two future- and forward- facing planets indicates a new start, the beginning of a new 14-year cycle of growth, surprising new developments and innovation.
All astrological events can go “either way” in terms of how we play them out, or respond to their underlying energetic currents. Collectively, we will see the impact in the evolution of global events, but at a smaller scale, we have a lot of choice about how to direct the course of the forces shaping our world right now.
Are we enacting the most uplifting and empowering version of the energy present, or are responding to the energy with fear, defensiveness, resistance to change or the lower sides of our ego? “Energies” here can mean the collective or interpersonal psychic atmosphere, but also, events and situations that carry the particular signatiure or pattern of Jupiter and Uranus coming together in Taurus.
Sometimes, a weak response to a powerful astrological moment is letting ourselves get bamboozled, tricked or distracted by promises and ideas that don’t truly resonate in our bones, but that seem “good on paper”.
This is less like an overt , negative “acting out”, and depending on your temperament, perhaps more common. In contrast, the empowered response can be a dramatic breakthrough or a more subtle shift in our perception, our connectedness or our approach. The best way to meet this powerful new beginning in the Jupiter/Uranus cycle will be in the context of your chart: which house is it in? And what aspects does it make to your natal planets?.
In terms of this Jupiter/Uranus conjuction, we are invited to consider what a thriving future truly means and what radical changes we are willing to bet on to bring that future about. Maybe especially in the face of disappointment with what has failed us thus far.
This is a coming together of two big planetary agents of change, each bringing to the table a completely different angle from the other, so keep in mind the integration factor!
Some key words for each planet:
Jupiter:
Expansion
Luck
Abundance
Opportunity
Prestige/ Social Standing
Wisdom-seeking
Generosity
MIdas touch
“A stranger is a friend you haven’t met yet”
Uranus:

Breaking from social expectation

Individuation
Shock
The unexpected
Emotional detachment
Objectivity
Rationality
“Facing disapproval and doing it anyway”
This conjuction will touch each our lives in a unique way. However, given that it’s in the sign of Taurus, which represents material life, embodiment, stability, simplicity and peace, there’s an integration that needs to happen for us all in terms of how we relate to the material basis of our existence –ecology itself.
Taurus is the sign of Mother Earth and reflects nature-connected, indigenous cultures– and the place within where we’re at one with Gaia, tuned into our natural instincts, body wsdom and kinship with all life.
The more we make that an intentional focus, the more chances that the “future-forward” innovations and personal changes we choose now tilt the scales toward a future reality where Nature, within and without, can flourish.
