You’ve probably heard of energetic grounding before, but if you haven’t, my simplest personal definition is to be dynamically plugged into the energy of planet Earth.
This includes a two way-exchange. In one direction, Earth energy flows up through our field, freely, in a nourishing way.
In the other direction, we’re able to let go of energies that no longer serve us, or we can’t metabolize, down into the Earth for recycling. Think of this as the energetic equivalent of our digestion cycle!
While we’re in a body on this magnificent planet of ours, we’re not free-floating objects in the soup of life. We’re more like cells in a massive, living, intelligent hyper-organism.
We know this about the natural, embodied ecology of the world.
But at a metaphysical, energetic level, too, we’re woven into nestled communities (in Spirit) that belong to Earth’s vibration and wholeness.
Think, for instance, elementals, devas, plant, animal and mineral spirits, and deities or spirits of place — beings that oversee, protect and call a certain geographical area home, or whose body is that particular place.
Just like the cells in your body need the fuel from the food you eat, you-as-a-cell in Mother Earth’s body need a direct connection to her energy source in order to live, be healthy, thrive, and be a good contributor to the whole.
